Good trades deserve to be considered.
We're developing a network of prequalified Canadian subcontractors who may be considered for future construction tender invitations.
Start with our initial eligibility application. Subcontractors who meet our screening criteria will be invited to complete formal prequalification before they can be considered for acceptance into the Mapleheart Trade Network.
WHY WE'RE BUILDING IT
Connecting projects with the right trades.
General contractors need reliable subcontractors to price their work. Subcontractors need to know about opportunities that fit their trade, location, and capacity.
Mapleheart & Co. helps general contractors coordinate trade tendering and procurement. Our developing Trade Network is intended to provide a roster of subcontractors who have completed our prequalification and acceptance process.
We first screen expressions of interest for eligibility. Eligible applicants are then required to complete formal prequalification, including supporting documentation and any applicable verification, before Mapleheart decides whether to accept them into the network. For specific projects, we may also source trades outside the network.
WHO CAN APPLY
Built for the trades that build projects.
Established and growing subcontracting businesses across Canada are welcome to apply for initial eligibility screening. Network membership requires successful prequalification and approval.
This list is illustrative, not exhaustive. Interest from other construction specialties is welcome.
THE PROCESS
How the Trade Network works.
Tell us about your company.
Submit your trade specialties, service areas, project experience, and business contact details for an initial eligibility review.
Complete prequalification.
Applicants who meet initial eligibility criteria will be invited to complete formal prequalification and provide required documentation, which may include insurance, WCB and safety information where applicable.
Acceptance comes after review.
Only subcontractors who successfully complete prequalification and are approved by Mapleheart will be added to the network. Accepted members may be considered for relevant tender invitations; invitations and awards are never guaranteed.

COMMON QUESTIONS
Before you apply.
Is there a fee to apply?
No. There is no fee to submit an initial eligibility application or participate in the Mapleheart Trade Network. Prequalification is required before acceptance.
Does network acceptance guarantee tender invitations?
No. Invitations depend on the trade scope, location, schedule, bidder requirements, and each general contractor's needs. Some companies may not receive invitations.
Does submitting the form make us a network member?
No. The form is only an initial eligibility screening. Eligible applicants must complete formal prequalification and be approved by Mapleheart before they can be added to the network. Additional project-specific checks may still be required.
Who decides which subcontractor gets the work?
The general contractor. Mapleheart supports sourcing, tender coordination, quotation comparisons, and procurement recommendations, but the general contractor makes award decisions and contracts directly with subcontractors.
Can we decline a tender invitation?
Yes. If contacted, you can review the opportunity and decide whether it suits your workload, location, and capabilities.
Do you work with trades outside Alberta?
Yes. We welcome interest from subcontractors across Canada. Opportunities will depend on where the general contractor's project is located.
How is our company information used?
We use the information you submit to review initial eligibility, manage any subsequent prequalification, and assess potential fit for future tender opportunities. Please do not include sensitive personal information or confidential project documents in the initial form. You can contact us to request an update or removal of your information.
